Local artist showcase

A couple of months ago we started displaying artwork created by local artists in Philadelphia. I don't think we could have predicted how excellent the response has bin with our customers. The talent rotating through the Pita Pit is far beyond anything that we could have originally imagined and we are looking forward to continuing the program forever.

We are now on our third artist. We started out with Matthew Clifford who focused on abstract computer generated paintings. These were gigantic pieces that really lit up the Pita Pit. Check out his page here.

After Matthew's paintings came down, we were excited to introduce a very talented Philadelphia photographer and avid pita eater Nema Etebar. His work portrays Philadelphia in the most true to life form by telling a story with every candid shot. It was sad to see his work come down, however, we know that Nema will have no problem displaying his photography in the future. Many of his shots can still be seen at Alfa or on his website.

Just yesterday, we started our 3rd artist Emily Erb. Emily is a very talented artist who has won countless awards and we are very excited to see her pieces being displayed. Check out her webpage and come down to the The Pita Pit to see her favorite paintings before they come down in August.

As of right now, we have about 8 more artists lined up to display their work but if you are interested in jumping in line, please let us know and we would be more than happy to take a look.
